today is the 14May, my last day of work at Koolook Suntec... this ended my 2 months career with the company. and also signifies 30days left for me before i going into serving the nation...

maybe i start with my workplace ba... actually Koolook Suntec was supposed to be a wonderful place and environment to work in. but however, due to certain people that place turned into a warzone. everyone have to watch their own back... even optometrist. to all optom how would u react when someone say "refraction longer means more accurate mehz?" i heard from colleagues about this story. does someone have the right to criticise a primary eyecare professional in such a way? who knows maybe the patient is a difficult one or maybe the optom is doing more than refraction but rather doing slitlamp or hisotry taking~!
once he snatched a sales from the attachment student. reason? because the lenses involved is Rodenstock Impression, a lens worth of $1200. customised lens would mean precise measurement... he was quite lost and asked my manage for help. did he appreciate? no way! he react by saying " orh, i also tot of that", "orh, i know i know".

other than this, my workplace is a pleasant one. there are helpful people and people full of experience in this trade... thanks to Ivan and Eric, i learnt alot about ophthalmic lenses and fitting guidelines. these techniques are accumulated experiences which are not taught in schools. thanks to Jesmine, a senior optom, i learnt alot about fitting contact lenses too and how to handle difficult situations.

my day spent at AMK was also interesting. though i was there for one single day, Fion guided me along. one single week at Bishan made me know more staff from other outlets, and also learnt that many of them have difference views on the company. Thanks to Alton, LeeEng, Szewei, Weiliang, my days at Bishan was full of laughter...

ok, enough of workplace story le. today i received an sms from ivan regarding 6FACTS. i believe many would have received that... it was supposed to be fun. i forwarded it to many people, including some old schoolmates. unexpectedly i received a reply "pls dont send me any more chain mail. please" i was stunned. i sent to people on MY CONTACT LIST and supposedly these people knew me... i have not been sending to this person for more than a year or maybe two. and i got this reply... i dont know what to say. am i that lame? i was trying to reach out to old contacts, indicating to them that i still alive and regard them as friend.

well, maybe the world is spinning too fast. people's changing... old friends, old contacts no longer remember or even deleted my contact off their list to make way for newer contact.
