i finally post after such a long time! haha... actually not that long la, only a few days ma. went to watched initial D with boon on sunday... long time no watch movie liao. the movie very nice wor! highly recommended. casper also agree that watch the movie will make you wanna learn driving... but hor, singapore also no place la. cos drive haven even reach 100kph already will have "ma-ta" behind your tail liao le...
today saw qinrui and boo hong on bus... knew qinrui since sec1 liao le. he still that tanned! think is in the genes de la... but hor, how come i still so pale ar? he also very tall wor! haha... or issit i am getting shorter each day? hmmm... guess i am becoming doraemon soon.

i just found the exact post from the forums:In the 15 years I lived in my 3-room HDB flat in Lorong Ah Soo, my family had to endure what sounded like marbles being dropped on the floor of the unit above mine. Strangely, this seemed to take place only at night, at times in the wee hours of the morning. Never one for confrontation, I did not speak to the occupants upstairs, and we lived with it.
We moved to Punggol 21 five years ago, and the sound of the marbles dropping in the wee hours of the morning seemed to have followed us. I once trotted upstairs to to see what sort of neighbors I have and the occupants were an elderly woman, her weak elderly husband and their domestic help. It is unlikely that they played with marbles, and certainly not in the wee hours of the morning.
From conversations with friends, I was astounded to learn that this sound of dropping marbles is a widespread phenomenon in Singapore. It seems it happens only in HDB flats. One of my friends suggested that it may be the way the HDB flats are built.
As a non-believer in the supernatnural, I am eager to understand this mystery that is fast becoming an urban legend. I may have legitimate reason to ask the HDB to explain it, since it seems to inflict flats built by it.

After a five-hour experiment on Wednesday(22-6-2005), members of the Singapore Paranormal Investigators (SPI), a society made up of paranormal enthusiasts, have come up with what it thinks is the real reason.
They say the sound comes from water trickling through PVC pipes, which gets distorted through concrete before emering as the sound of falling marbles.
This phenomenon has been in the news lately.
It all started when The Straits Times forum published a letter by bank executive Joseph Wong, who keep hearing the sound of falling marbles in his flat. A flurry of letters from other people followed, all saying they had also heard the sounds, and wanting to know the cause.
Some even suggested there might be a supernatural explanation.
But in a Sunday Times reported on June 12, building experts said it might be caused by the rattling of water pipes when there's a change in the water pressure, the contraction of high-strength steel calbes embedded in the pre-fabricated floors, or children actually playing marbles.
SPI was not satisfied. It wanted to narrow down the posible causes.
The society gathered at Mr Eugene Toh, society treasurer, HDB maisonette in Bedok. On the upper floor of the two-storey house, they dropped marbles big and small, flushed toilets, turned on taps and recored the sounds. They also recorded the sounds from the floor below.
Then they compare the sound frequencies recorded. SPI president Kenny Fong said:" The frequency signatures of sound flowing from the sink through water pipes and that of falling marbles were almost identical."

LEO THE MOG-NIFICENT
If Frieda Ireland’s pet cat Leo were a human being he would weigh about 73kg (160 lb) and stretch over 2.5 m (8 feet) tall. As it is, the mammoth moggie is as long as an 8-year-old child and has paws so big they can fit into a size 2 child’s shoe!
Verismo’s Leonetti Reserve Red – otherwise known as Leo – is a Maine Coon cat owned by Frieda Ireland and Carroll Damron of Chicago. Normally a large breed, Maine Coons often weigh as much as 10 kg (22 lb), but Leo weighs in at a mog-nificent 15.8 kg (35 lb) and measures a record-breaking 121.9 cm (48 in) from nose to tail – making Leo the new Guinness World Record holder for the world’s longest cat.
“We have to keep our eye on him when we’re cooking,” says owner Frieda, “because he can stand up and put his paws on the kitchen counter.” But Leo’s not trying to steal food. “He enjoys sweeping things off the counter, not eating them! He’s not a fan of home-cooked food – he prefers dry cat food, green vegetables, basil, parsley and, of all things, blue cheese!”
“He’s not overweight,” stresses Leo’s veterinarian Scott Rovner, DVM. And Kim Lacey, who adjudicates all Guinness World Records animal claims, is quick to point out that it’s Leo’s length – and not weight – that makes him a record breaker. “We don’t want to be encouraging people to fatten up their pets just to become record breakers,” she said.

the guy,Alan, was from her restaurant... he was there when boon started working in MAY, but he left the place. but dunno why today still appearing there... he was the one that keep making fun of boon during the whole of MAY, the one that started match-making boon and another chef(in same restaurant also).

i was walking home in the rain just now... the rain was heavy, but i couldnt feel it. i was full of anger... too much to consider about the rain. the rain did cool me a little... just that little. i dont know what actually happened at boon's restaurant since she started working... all that i know are those that she told me about. maybe there are some things that she hid from me... maybe not. i trust that whatever she told me is true, trust that she did not hide anything from me... just that trust.

went watch the Phua Chu Kang - The Musical on 12 June 2005, sunday, with boon... we bought the tickets(originally S$55 each) at half price cos of the Student Matinee. tickets are still available at SISTICS, but no more discounted price... well, it's the second performance(first was the Disney On Ice) i bought from sistics few months ago.the snyopsis of the musical:
The story revolves around the celebration and mishaps of PCK’s 40th birthday. It begins with PCK having a great dream about his birthday, but his dream ends with a curse that he will not live past his 40th birthday. To add to his paranoia and misery, his family seems to have forgotten about his birthday and a secret evil plan to takeover his construction business is brewing. But actually, his family is planning a lavish birthday party for him. All ends well and the finale is a grand celebration of his 40th birthday.

this sunday my sis will be going to malaysia via my uncle's travel agency with a group of close friends from OAC... isn't it cool? i wonder when will it be my turn... when will i be able to go overseas for holidays with my friends, without any family members. will this day come? i wonder...i am broke
... haha. it seems that i had overspent! i earned 600 during the holidays... spent 300 on the optomoscope and retinascope. and i am left with just 50bucks... not forgetting to add on my pocket money, it seems that i spent about 300bucks! gosh... i didnt even realise that. maybe it's because i keep telling myself that i stil got some savings... haha. guess i ate too much good food during the holidays that's the main reason ba! i only bought about 3 new clothes(cost 60bucks)... hafta save up money liao le...A note for Boon Boon

went 4/8'03 gathering on friday night... went marina south with fuyan lor. reach there den found them(zhaokai, bob, kejun, alex, yinfoong, weikeong) plyaing warcraft heroes map... hafta wait for them play finish den can go eat lor. haha... dinner time! had so much fun crapping and laming with the old friends. everyone there still look and behave the same, not much changes la... chat about life in JCs, Polys, overseas. bob going back to america soon liao le... zhaokai going there next month! lots of people flying off to a different destination liao le... left the place about 9 lor.it's glad to see some close friends from secondary schools... it bring back the memories that we had, all the fun and craps that we shared. takecare my friends...
